Oh My Its Tuesday Talk On......
Good morning, ya'll. It has been awhile since I have 'spoken' to everyone. I am still in Texas at my Mom's. My Sis and I were supposed to leave yesterday, but we will be here another week.
A fine needle biopsy had to be cancelled because her ribs and scapula are in the way of the main mass they wanted to check out in her lung. Instead, they removed nearly a quart of fluid from around that lung. There is a PET scan scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Probably won't have any results until Friday. Hence the delay in our departure.
Her PCP has told us it is cancer. She has a 'fast growing mass' in her lung. She also says it is inoperable. No one has told Mom. Everyone is waiting for the results of the tests. I think she knows, but we are all dancing around it. We want to KNOW, what the prognosis is and what her options are.
She has 24 hour sitters here in her apartment. Well, Di and I are the sitters from 6AM to 9PM, but when we leave the other girls will take over. I have GREAT RESPECT for care givers. It takes a LOT of patience.
There is a nursing home facility attached to this retirement place but she DOES NOT want to go down there. I can't blame her, it is a lonely place.
Mom, is done with her meditation and I gotta hop to it.

I went out for my morning three mile walk....but...I jogged the while time.....woooohooooo....I am very proud of myself. I might be sorry tomorrow but it sure felt great today!!

well the guy at work whose mom had quadruple heart bypass yesterday morning is good to go!!!!! i told him about all of you that were offering up prayers and thoughts for her and his family and he said to tell you "THANKYOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!!" and i also thankyou!!!
well our houseguest has disappeared yet again...no phone call to let us know she wasn't coming home no nothing!! i called ricks mom and asked if she heard from her and she said nope...but its how she is...here one time and gone the next without telling anyone where she is....always a lie to go with it...so like i said...did her husband really come after her with a gun??? and IF she comes back i AM going to tell her a thing or two about this disappearing act she has. i have enough to worry about and i don't need her crap!!!!
weather here is crisp this morning...could see my breath when i took bandit out...BRRRRR said it was 42* so i guess it is chilly....LOL
making a beef roast for dinner tonight seeing as i am off today. tomorrow i might make the bourbon chicken or mabe roasted chicken. not sure yet have to see what chicken i have left in freezer.
tried getting the angelfoodministries for some food but i missed the ordering deadline by one day...so now i have to wait til next month for food from them....oh well.
gas sure shot up here yesterday!!! was $2.21 and now its $2.39!!!! just makes me upset seeing that...just when its getting closer for me to travel to see mom...sighs...what else is going to happen to cost more money that we don't have??

thats ok debbie....if i missed your post about co workers daughter? i am sorry...this pc is so blasted slow at times it makes me not want to post anything at all....grrrrr i hope she gets better soon!!! have added her to my list (no matter what others think of me for doing that...)
